Psychological therapy for children, adolescents and adults

Eden Psychological Services provides individual, evidence-informed psychological care for children aged 8 and older, adolescents and adults. Services are currently telehealth only. Telehealth may be available across Victoria when clinically suitable, with adequate privacy and safety. It is generally considered from around age 12; suitability is assessed individually before an appointment is offered.

General new-client enquiries are welcome by telephone on 0494 817 870 or email at referrals@edenpsych.com.au. Please keep emails to general information only and do not send detailed health, identifying, funding or urgent information. Each enquiry is reviewed for suitability before an appointment is offered.

Why now?

Strategies that once helped someone cope or get through a difficult period can, over time, become restrictive or exhausting and begin to create problems. Therapy can help clarify what is happening, build practical options and support a more sustainable way forward.

Recognisable reasons to seek support

  • Anxiety, panic or avoidance that is narrowing daily life.

  • Low mood, burnout or exhaustion that is making ordinary responsibilities harder to manage.

  • The effects of distressing or repeated experiences, long-standing patterns, or several difficulties interacting at once.

How therapy is tailored

Treatment is planned collaboratively and adapted to each client’s age, goals, preferences, strengths, communication needs and circumstances. Depending on the client, therapy may draw from CBT, EMDR, ACT, behavioural strategies, motivational interviewing and DBT-informed skills.

What happens after an enquiry?

Matthew reviews the information provided for suitability, considering the client’s needs, age, preferred format, funding and likely fit. If the service appears suitable and has capacity, Eden Psychological Services will make contact to arrange the next step. A tentative appointment may be offered after review; an enquiry does not guarantee acceptance or an appointment.
